guzar ga'ii jaras-e-gul udaas karke mujhe
maiN so rahaa thaa kisii yaad ke shabistaaN meN
jagaa ke chhoR gaye qaafle sahar ke mujhe
maiN ro rahaa thaa muqaddar kii saKht raahoN meN
uRa ke le gaye jaduu terii nazar ke mujhe
maiN tere dard ki tuGhyaaniyoN meN duub gayaa
pukaarte rahe taare ubhar ubhar ke mujhe
tere firaaq kii rateN kabhii na bhuuleNgii
maze mile inhiiN raatoN meN umar bhar ke mujhe
zaraa sii der Thaharne de aye Gham-e-duniaa
bulaa rahaa hai ko'ii baam se utar ke mujhe
phir aaj aa'ii thii ek mauj-ai-hawaa-e-tarb
sunaa ga'ii hai fasaane idhar udhar ke mujhe
