Dr Khalid Mahmood's ghazal starts with the following couplet:
purkhoN kii tehziib se mahkaa bastaa piichhe chhuuT gayaa
jaane kis vahshat meN ghar kaa rastaa piichhe chhuuT gayaa
پرکھوں کی تھزیب سے مہکا بستہ پیچھے چھوٹ گیا
جانے کس وحشت میں گھر کا رستہ پیچھے چھوٹ گیا
पुरखों की तह्ज़ीब से महका बस्ता पीछे छूट गया
जाने किस वहशत में घर का रस्ता पीछे छूट गया

Khalid Mehmood belongs to Sironj state (that was part of the erstwhile Tonk state of Nawab Ameer Khan, which was a unique place--split in two parts and separated by hundreds of kilometers from each other). It still remains a unique place. Another of his couplet which Nasir Sahab recited the other day:
dekhii jo us makaan kii khiRkii khulii huii
ek dasht-e-naaz yaad ka shaana dabaa gayaa
howzzat! (shaana=shoulder)

Jermaine has caused national controversy by openly praying his obligatory five time prayers live on national TV. However Channel Four the Broadcaster has censored any footage of the Former Jackson Five practicing his faith.
