Maharashtra is one of the major states and has a population of nearly 120 million. Apart from Marathi, Urdu is also the important language in this state.
For a long time, need was felt that a proper and new district map of the state, ought to be uploaded, for the benefit of people, especially, students. Hence, this map has been presented it.
The erstwhile regions of Khandesh, Berar and the part of Nizam's princely state--the districts that include Aurangabad, Nanded, Latur, Parbhani and Osmanabad, are also included in this vast state.
Mumbai is the capital and it has Bollywood, Urdu poets and authors, apart from neighbouring towns like Bhiwandi and Malegaon that are also bastions of Urdu. Muslims in Maharashtra have kept Urdu close to their heart.

The map of Bihar that had been drawn and recreated in Urdu, had got wide publicity and several newspapers had covered it.
Towns of Awadh, a map that shows 'qasbahs' of the region around Lucknow, and several other regional, national and international maps, have been posted here. The project is on and more posts, especially, rare and historical maps, would be posted as well.
Students need the map and lack of proper, updated atlases makes it difficult for them. New maps are not easily available and even on internet Urdu maps are not available freely. Hence, this map has been posted. It is not fit to scale and is just for educational and informational purpose.
