After such a major crime that sent shockwaves in the region, everyone suspected that it was a job of 'outsiders' or a gang that came from other place and committed the ghastly act.
The child, a three-year-old went missing from his home. His father suspected kidnapping for ransom and that 'outsiders' in the area may have come and taken the son away. Locals talked about a suspicious vehicle or an unidentified man walking in area.
But, ultimately it was found that the person who was close and trying to search, was involved in the ghastly crime. The scale of brutality was shocking. The incident had occurred in Mahuakheda that falls under Tejgarh police jurisdiction in Damoh district of Madhya Pradesh.
It was due to an old dispute in the family and the grievance kept in heart that the child lost life to the woman whom he called 'Tai'. She hit the child's head repeatedly against stone and then buried the body under the husk.
Often, those are close are more jealous or nurture a feeling in their heart while the natural response is that someone other or stranger may have committed the act. Besides, the biggest factor is competition and jealousy.
Or an old grudge!
This case had got attention as it concerned a child. Search operations were conducted. It was when police started probe that the case was solved. In fact, this happens a lot because those in the inner circle are more aware about the family--strengths and weaknesses.
