Two tribals lynched in Madhya Pradesh: Duo beaten to death over suspicion that they were in possession of beef

In a gruesome incident, two tribals were killed by a group of right-wing radicals in Seoni district of Madhya Pradesh.

Suspecting that the tribals were carrying beef and were involved in cow slaughter, the assailants beat them up.

As a result, two persons--Dhan Shah Inwati and Sampat Batti died while the third got critically injured. This is yet another incident in which Hindus were killed over suspicion of possessing beef and cow slaughter.

Though mostly Muslims are targeted, there have been some incidents in the past when Hindus were attacked and lost their lives due to cow vigilantes or right-wing groups' attacks. The clipping of Dainik Bhaskar has been attached.

After the incident, the national highway was blocked. Agitated tribal community demanded action in the case. Some of the suspects have been identified and detained. The police said that efforts are on to catch the absconders. Investigation is on in the case.

Yet another lynching bid in Alwar, Sagheer survives: Will Congress government in Rajasthan rein in the cow vigilantes?

Once again, a lynching bid in Rajasthan.

And once again, it's Alwar, the most notorious place as far as cow vigilantes' terror is concerned.

It's here that Rakbar Khan was set afire when the accused' kin shot a video.

It was in Alwar that Pahlu Khan was beaten and he died.

And, it is the same place where Umardeen was shot dead. Cow vigilantes' terror continues in the region. So what if the regime has changed!

Self-styled 'cow vigilantes' have the power to stop and thrash anyone without any fear of police. Mohammad Sagheer was suspected of involvement in cattle trade.

Hence, he was beaten up brutally. This incident occurred in Bagherikhurd in the district. Sagheer is admitted in the hospital. Police sources said that his condition is serious but improving.

Under BJP rule, Rajasthan witnessed series of lynchings and cow vigilantes' lawlessness. Rajasthan's reputation was hit as a result of these killings and terror. Now, Congress is in the power. Will it bring the law-and-order in control?

It is the Congress' responsibility now.

Modern Indian history: Cow vigilantes' terrorism, lynching Muslims over beef rumours, merciless killings

For any Indian, it is one of the saddest period.

Right-wing extremism has reached a stage where cow vigilantes' atrocities and incidents of lynching have become a regular affair.

Muslims are being targeted, killed by mobs. A teenaged Muslim gets killed in train because mob assumed that because he is a Muslim, he would be consuming beef.

This happened near Delhi. In other parts of India, the law-and-order has deteriorated exactly in the same fashion. Any Muslim can be killed or lynched over a rumour.

A man carrying cow to his home for milk is killed just because he is a Muslim. Another carrying meat is killed because it is believed that the meat would be nothing but beef.

No police complaint, seizure or lab test is required.

This is 21st century India, where Muslims can be killed at will.

When an armyman's father can be killed by a mob after announcement from a temple that his fridge had beef, one could perhaps have an idea about the situation.

Muslims never thought that they who gave their blood for India's freedom, would one day have to go through it.

In UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, everywhere Muslims are being attacked over rumours or suspicion of carrying beef.

Till a couple of years, it would have been unbelievable that lawlessness would take over the country, so fast.

That the state would not be able to control the right-wing lumpens and that the vigilantes would rule the streets.

But this has happened within a few years, a very short time.

The fact is that the right-wing Hindutva extremism had been rearing its head in India since 1980s.

The rise of militant organisations like Bajrang Dal, which openly give arms' training to its cadre, should have woken up the state.

But the authorities remained lenient towards them, even during Congress regimes.

Social media revolution has given it a fillip and took it to next level. After Facebook, it was WhatsApp that was increasingly used to spread propaganda and hate in Indian society.

The result is cow vigilante groups who seem to have the licence to attack or kill anybody. No one knows when the State would act against them. Accuse anyone of smuggling a cow or consuming beef, and then kill the person--it has become so simple.

That's 21st century India.

One hates to post such pictures. But there is no other option. One has to post them. After all, this is happening in India each and every day. We must accept that we are one of the most inherently violent societies.

Unless we accept it, we can't make efforts to change it. We must rise, stand for humanity, fight the fascist forces, take on the extremists and save this nation. If we don't do it right now, it may be too late.

Another day, Another attack: Muslim man lynched, Hindu farmers brutally beaten by cow vigilantes

Lynchings, mob attacks, vigilantism--that seems to have become the order of the day in India.

A Muslim man was beaten to death in his house in Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh, just because he was supportive of an inter-religious marriage.

The Hindu Yuva Vahini members barged into his house, abducted middle-aged Ghulam Muhammad, took him away and thrashed him until he died.

The Hindu Yuva Vahini is an extremist Hindu group, which was formed by Yogi Adityanath, who is now UP's chief minister.

Locals said that members of the Vahini were behind the attack and murder. There are barely a couple of Muslim families in this village in Bulandshahar. Now, after the incident, they plan to move out.

From Pahlu Khan to Akhlaq, from Mazloom Ansari to Najeeb Ahmad, the stories of Muslim men disappearing--either killed, lynched or taken away, never to return, it is becoming a regular affair now.

As private armies or right-wing Hindu militias keep growing in size, the incidents are increasing. Along with Muslims, a few Hindus here and there too bear the brunt of these attacks. In North India, the situation is worst.

The other incident took place close to national capital Delhi. It happened in Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh. Two Hindu farmers were brutally beaten.

Their fault--they were carrying cows along with them. Bhoop Singh and Jabar Singh were intercepted by self-styled 'Gau Rakshaks'--a term that means protectors of cows.

"We kept telling them that we are Hindus, farmers but they kept accusing us of being cow smugglers and started thrashing us", said the victims, who later lodged an FIR.

"They abused us verbally and kicked us on the stomach and even the face. We collapsed on the ground but they continued beating us". While this was happening, no one intervened. [TOI report]

Hindu Sena leader crushes Muslim youth to death in Bhopal

In yet another incident of extremist groups' violence, Hindu Sena district chief killed a Muslim youth, Salman, by crushing him to death under a SUV. This incident occurred in MP Nagar in Bhopal.

Salman was beaten brutally and later his head was struck against a tanker. The Hindu Sena leader Shivaji Patil later crushed Salman to death on the spot, with his car, and escaped. He was later arrested.

Cow vigilantes' terror in India: Pehlu Khan lynched in Rajasthan, Muslims constantly on the target

Once again, cow vigilantes have killed a Muslim man.

Pehlu Khan, a middle-aged man, had gone to buy bovines for milk.

Self-styled cow protection group members attacked Khan and his companions. The man was murdered in cold-blood.

Vipin Yadav, Kalu Ram Yadav and Ravendra Yadav--the three culprits have been arrested.

This horrific incident has occurred in Alwar district in Rajasthan.

The private militias, known as 'Gau Rakshaks' [euphemism for illegal extremist groups who kill innocents in the name of cow] are again responsible for the murder.

Khan who belonged to Nuh, Mewat had gone to buy bovines. On way back, the mini-truck was stopped by 'Gau-Rakshaks'. He showed the receipt that he had bought the cow legally.

But the 'Gau Rakshaks' attacked him, kept thrashing him until he fell unconscious. He was admitted to hospital where he died because of the injuries. The police didn't reach the spot until the incident occurred.

READ, WATCH VIDEO: How Cow Vigilantes' Terrorism Led to Pahlu Khan's death

The incident has occurred in BJP ruled Rajasthan. Here, earlier too Gau Rakshak groups have attacked Muslims. Chief minister Vasundhara Raje has failed to rein in the extremists.

Akhlaq, father of an armyman, was killed in his house at Bisadha near Dadri in Uttar Pradesh just on mere suspicion that there was beef stored in the fridge of the house.

Last year Minhaj Ansari was killed in Jharkhand.

Besides, a man, Mazloom Ansari, and a teenaged boy, Imtiaz, were hanged by Gau Atankis earlier.

Mazloom and Imtiaz' bodies were found hanging by the tree.

Clothes had been stuff into their mouths. Even this incident couldn't shake 'national conscience'.

They were cattle traders. The incident had occurred near Balumath, close to Ranchi. READ

The incidents have occurred across India--from Jammu and Kashmir to Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh to Haryana, Jharkhand to Madhya Pradesh and UP.

Clearly, law-and-order has collapsed in the country. India is becoming one of the most dangerous place for minorities, especially, Muslims. We must record what is happening around us. For, we don't know what future holds for us.

Terror in the name of Cow: Muslim man killed in police custody in Jharkhand, state remains soft on cow vigilantes

Cow vigilantes continue to spread terror across the country.

Minhaj Ansari, 22, is the latest victim of this form of terrorism.

Ansari wasn't killed for consuming or carrying meat.

He was murdered as he had shared 'objectionable photographs' of a calf on WhatsApp.

It was no offence. No FIR was registered. In any case, no court or system is needed when cow vigilantes come into the picture.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Sonu Singh informed police and soon plain-clothed personnel picked up the 22-year-old Ansari.

He was allegedly tortured in illegal detention and later died in police custody--a clear case of cop-cow vigilantes' nexus which has emerged in most parts of North India.

READCow vigilantes' terror is the new form of right-wing extremism in India

The photograph above shows Ansari with his daughter. Now he is no more. Policemen initially tried to pass it off as a case of 'natural death'. There were attempts to hush up the case.

This horrific incident took place in Dighari in Jamtara district.

The post-mortem report later clearly suggested that there were injury marks.

The police station in-charge has not been arrested till now.

Sonu Singh hasn't been caught in this case either.Justice eludes the family.

Ansari's death sparked off protests.  Initially, individuals and some determined activists took up the case. 'National media' mostly ignored it.

READFood fascism, attacks on Muslims by cow vigilantes

An exception was Indian Express, which carried the reports. Clearly, it is a case of law-and-order collapse in the Eastern state. Cow vigilantism has reached a critical stage in the country.

It seems that anyone can be lynched anywhere. Could be an armyman's father or a truck driver, a trader or a driver, a factory worker or a minor boy.

In BJP ruled Jharkhand, cow vigilantes had earlier hanged two Muslims including a minor too. [Read about the Latehar tragedy at this link]

That incident had occurred in Latehar earlier this year.

The two--Mazloom Ansari, 35, and Inmtiaz, 12, were hanged by a tree publicly.

However, even after the latest incident in Jamtar, 'mainstream' media hasn't been vocal till date.

READ: Sakshi Maharaj should start campaign with top beef export companies in India

Not a single report of 'Jungle-Raj in Jharkhand' has appeared in headlines in the newspapers. It seems that killings over anything related to cow, have become a normal practice, and there is little outrage.

Killings continue despite Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rebuke to 'Gau Rakshaks'

The killings seem to have a 'sanction' in several states. Else,  how could administration act in such bizarre and partisan manner.

In a speech recently, PM Modi had said that in every state the police chief should ensure that self-styled cow vigilantes' dossiers are prepared to keep a check on those who commit crimes and claim to be 'Gau Rakshaks' i.e. Cow protectors.

Nothing is visible on the ground, till now.

Right-wing extremists trying to turn India into Hitler's Germany: Minorities under attack, lawlessness becomes order of the day

The photograph shows cow vigilantes standing with their feet on the head of a Muslim cattle transporter.

After brutally breating up the cattle transporters [nearly lynching them], these right-wing extremists are giving a pose.

That's just one of the several such incidents that are reported from all over India.

It happens in MP, it happens in Rajasthan, it happens in Jharkhand, it happens in UP, in Haryana, in Himachal, in Jammu, it happens everywhere.

People transporting cattle are beaten up, tortured and even killed. But even after such brutality and barbarism, the police that is generally mute spectator, register cases against the victims.

That's he harsh reality of 21st century India. Right-wing extremism has become mainstream in India. The wish to turn India into Hitler's Germany and turn minorities [Muslims] as second class citizens, was always in the heart of those who are part of Hindutva movement.

But, in the last two years, it has become a nationwide phenomenon. Surprisingly, this form of terrorism, doesn't get reported adequately in Indian media. Most 'national' newspapers ignored the Rajasthan attack story and it was not worth 'prime time' on TV channels.

India is a world's biggest democracy. With a population of 1.2 billion, India has also a huge Muslim population, nearly 200 million, which is more than the population of Britain, France and Germany combined.

READFascism in India, Muslims being attacked over beef rumours all over India

Yet, the right-wing vigilantes that are part of the umbrella Sangh Parivar have managed to push Muslims to the margin. Law is there but it isn't implemented in spirit.

For example, Bajrang Dal or VHP workers may create havoc but they aren't taken to task or booked.
However, innocent Muslims are framed by police and they spend years in jail.

The 'Saffronisation' is turning India into a medieval mobocracy. For an Indian, it is painful to write, but this is the reality of today's India.

The vigilantes have the 'power' to enter any home, even an armyman's residence, kill his father after announcing from a temple loudspeaker that beef was stored in his refrigerator. The right-wing

Fascism in India, right-wing replicates Nazis: Innocent Muslims being killed all over the country, attacked over false rumours on beef

Two Muslims including a minor who were herding buffaloes were killed in Latehar in Jharkhand. The bodies were found hanging by the tree.

The policemen suspect that right-wing radicals killed them. The legislator and local population also say that they were apparently killed just because they were Muslim.

"Mohammad Mazloom and Azad were beaten up, the bodies strung up with their hands tied behind their backs and mouths stuffed with cloth", say reports. Such brutality no longer shakes the nation.

The reason is that it is the new 'normal'. Mass media, including many TV channels, are part of thsi propaganda to demonise Muslims. Either it is defaming Muslims, terming them as anti-nationals, forcing new definition of nationalism or putting minorities under patritotism test, TV channels are pandering to the Hindutva Nazis.

Across India, Muslims are being attacked, killed, beaten up and threatened, for no reason. Nothing is needed, not even a false rumour now, to attack Muslims, as this incident shows. READ

FEW RECENT EXAMPLES:

1. Elderly Muslim couple beaten up on train in Harda, on suspicion that they had beef in the food. Later, the self-styed Gau Raksha force leader threatened the superintendent of police (SP).

2. A youth, Noman, who hailed from Saharanpur (UP) was killed in Himachal Pradesh's Sirmaur by cow vigilantes. The victim was a cattle trader and hence he became a 'cow smuggler' in the country where life of a cow is sacred and kiling a human being amounts to nothing.

3. Zahir Ahmad, who hailed from Kashmir, was killed in similar incident in Udhampur over rumours of 'cow slaughter'.

4. Kashmiri youths arrested after false rumour that they had cooked and eaten beef in their hostel room in Rajasthan.

5. Mohammad Akhlaq, father of a severing armyman, killed in his house over 'suspicion that there was beef in his house'. Loudspeaker from a temple announced this and Akhlaq was lynched in Dadri, UP. Later, meat was sent for forensic examination and it was found that it was not beef.

FASCISM IS MAINSTREAM IN INDIA:

The Hindutva lumpens have the audacity to attack and butcher anyone. The police are mostly swift in arresting minorities, even if it is a case pertaining to sharing a Facebook post, but killers in such cases are given a long-rope.

There is a huge army of people involved in propaganda, spreading hatred towards Muslims. Many call centres have been set up to further the right-wing agenda and under the garb of political propaganda, they propagate falsehoods and Muslims are demonised round the clock.

CONGRESS' CARELESSNESS RESULTED IN THE SITUATION

While right-wing was infiltrating every institution including courts, @INCIndia cared little. RSS leaders involved in terror, weren't booked. Forget slapping UAPA on them, they were not even quizzed.

Like SIMI, organisations like Bajrang Dal should've been banned years ago. But this didn't happen. Every right-wing organisation linked to Sangh, got immune from the law.

After right-wing terror accused were arrested, there was no major crackdown on RSS, a strange NGO, that had been banned several times in the past. Congress-led UPA was in power for ten years, but it remained soft.

Result is mob rule, institutions have been weakened, courts letting off genocide accused like Maya Kodnani on bail @INCIndia. Most certainly, blame goes to @INCIndia for not reining in lumpens for decades.
